Joseph M. Seif, M.D.

SM Drip is a physician-owned and operated Medspa and IV Lounge in San Juan Capistrano, CA, that’s quickly becoming a local favorite! We offer Aesthetic and Wellness services, taking pride in delivering beauty and wellness with precision, safety, and integrity. SM Drip was founded by Dr. Seif, a UCLA-trained Anesthesiologist and Critical Care physician.

Dr. Seif’s hospital-based practice is in North San Diego county, and he has received San Diego Top Doctors recognition in 2022, 2023, 2024, and most recently 2025 as a testimony to his care, and excellence in the practice of medicine. In his quest to spend more time with his wife and three children, while still compassionately caring for patients, Dr. Seif embarked on starting this Medspa (SM--Seif Medical--Drip) to care for patients in a more relaxed setting.

By nature of his profession, Dr. Seif has vast experience with the safety and efficacy of IV medication and vitamin administration. He more recently expanded into the world of aesthetics and outpatient wellness, where-in he has found a wider reach for bettering peoples' lives as he brings hospital level expertise to the medical spa space.

Our aim at SM Drip is to honestly educate every patient on options, never to push services.     I’ve struggled with hyperpigmentation for decades, and had a crazy breakout a few months ago which left me with the worst hyperpigmentation of my life that I thought would never go away.
    I went into SM Drip with the expectation of just reducing the pigment a little but the results completely blew me away. I did a combo of microneedling and LaseMD Ultra under their recommendation for about 6 months, and my skin is the absolute best it’s ever been in my entire life (I’m 33).

  • I had a great experience at SM Drip Med Spa! The facility is clean, modern, and very relaxing. The staff are super friendly, and Mariam was especially great - she took care of me so well and made the whole process smooth and comfortable. I came in interested in their hair restoration treatment, and they were very knowledgeable and patient in explaining everything and getting me started. They really took the time to answer all my questions. Their other services, like facials and IV hydration, are also high quality. You can tell they really care about providing top-notch care. Highly recommend!

  • I went in for my first IV drip. It was the weekend of my wedding. My wife went in the day before I did as our schedules were all over the place. She had nothing but good feedback.
